Grant Application Procedure
Thank you for your interest in becoming a beneficiary of Christmas in St. Michaels.
Christmas in St. Michaels was founded in 1987 as a non-profit, publicly funded corporation with the principal purpose of fund raising for the benefit of the St. Michaels community.
Each year the Board of Directors reviews proposals submitted by St. Michaels-based non-profit organizations seeking funding assistance from the proceeds of Christmas in St. Michaels. The Board selects those it deems most appropriate and often several organizations are beneficiaries in a single year.
Since 1987, more than thirty local organizations have received funding, grants ranging from as small as $600 to as much as $40,000 in a single year. Nearly $900,000 has been contributed to St. Michaels community organizations.
Special projects, community programs, educational efforts, children's programs and other similar types of projects have received grant monies. Grants for salaries, stipends and operating expenses are ineligible for funding.
Please print and complete the Grant Application and return it no later than December 31, 2011. All requested documents must accompany the grant application form. Selection of our 2011 beneficiaries will be made and announced during February 2011. Funds will be awarded in February 2012.
